CONFERENCE REPORT

Youth Voices 2011

Friday & Saturday, October 7 & 8

Marion Andrus Learning Center
Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

THE YOUTH VOICES CONFERENCES are designed to bring together youth from urban garden programs around the country and exchange ideas. In addition, the conference challenges the adults who plan and structure youth programs to include the youth voice in their planning. Youth programs do a great job of having participants evaluate their programs. The Youth Voices goal is to include this feedback in program design.

The unique and essential feature of the Youth Voices Conferences is that they are planned and implemented by the participants. Thus, youth involved in garden program are invited to participate in the planning process, as well as to attend the conference. Participants arrange their own transportation to Minnesota, but once in Minnesota, Youth Voices provides food and shelter.

IF YOU WISH TO GET INVOLVED in future conference planning, please contact
