Join us for wine, appetizers, dinner, a presentation of Michael's recent TED talk, and audience discussion with Michael and LaDonna Redmond, Arboretum community liaison, Seward diversity and community engagement manager, and food justice activist.
The evening will begin with a local wine tasting and nibble, then move into a slow food meal provided by Lakewinds Food Co-op. As you depart, you'll have the opportunity to purchase Michael's latest book, "Street Farm: Growing Food, Jobs, and Hope on the Urban Frontier."
The lingering flavors of the meal and the presentation will inspire you in the range of creative and innovative ways that you can impact your own neighborhood and community; one handful of seeds, one bucket of compost, one meal, one farm or garden at a time.
