Come to the Arboretum for the sweetest summer experience ever held at the new Tashjian Bee and Pollinator Discovery Center! Explore the world of the honey bees, bumble bees, leaf-cutter bees, sweat bees, mason bees, and more, and find out how they achieve their status as champion pollen movers. Without their work, our grocery stores and gardens would look sadly different. Search for bee diversity in the Bee Center's garden for pollinators, explore the pollinator exhibits, and get a taste of the honey bees' sweet treasure from the hive.

Butterflies are pollinators too! Join us at the Arboretum's Tashjian Bee and Pollinator Discovery Center this summer for a glimpse into their fascinating lives. Explore the gardens to look for caterpillars, butterflies, and signs of these visitors. Make up-close observations to discover some of the surprising ways that butterflies sense the world and defend themselves from predators. Craft a folded paper butterfly to take home using the special summer 2018 "Origami in the Garden" butterfly metamorphosis sculpture as inspiration.
