Scarecrows in the Garden
Daily Sept. 16 through Oct. 31

The popular Scarecrows in the Garden will once again be adding a festive fall note the Arboretum's autumn displays. Check out the artistry of the experts from Bachman's, as well as the Arboretum Staff, with displays on Dahlberg Terrace outside the Visitor Center and on the walkway towards the Snyder Building.

Scarecrow Village
Daily Sept. 16 through Oct. 31

Head down the hill to the Sensory Garden and Ordway Picnic Shelter areas to see the Pumpkin House decorated for the season, plus many other scarecrows created by staff and visitors!

Make-a-Scarecrow Saturdays
Sept. 24 & Oct. 1, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Bring scarecrow clothes and a whimsical spirit, and the Arb will provide everything else you need to make your own scarecrow: Body base, head and stuffing. Add your creation to the collection at Scarecrow Village, or take home to enjoy for the rest of the season. $10 per scarecrow. Make-a-Scarecrow is done on a fist-come, first-served basis.

Vote for you Favorite Scarecrow!

Print out the ballot below or pick one up at the Information desk in the Visitor Center. Vote for one of the scarecrows listed (each one has a sign next to it with the name of the scarecrow) or write in one of the visitor-made creations at Scarecrow Village. When you're finished, just drop your ballad back off at the Visitor Center to be included in the voting.
