 Summer Day Camps

Summer Day Camps
For ages 5 - 14 PLUS new intergenerational programs; unique nature-themed experiences

Arboretum campers make new friends and explore science concepts while discovering the wonder of the natural world in a fun, hands-on setting. 2017 themes include: • Hogwoods School of Witchcraft and Wizardry • Raptors & Ravens & • LEGO Bricks • PINECRAFT • Pollinators and more!


 Summer Children's Garden - planting

Summer Children's Garden (weekly)
For ages 5 - 13; ten weekly sessions 

Pairs of gardeners will share the bounty and responsibility of a kid-sized plot of vegetables and flowers throughout the summer!


 PeaPods for Preschoolers

NEW! Intergenerational Programs
Spend some quality time together with your child, and learn about nature while having fun!

Ages 3-5 love the ever-popular PeaPods for Preschoolers program.
Ages 7-12 can now bring their favorite adult to share in NEW Together Time programs!


 Field Trips for Groups

One-Hour Enrichment Experiences & Summer Field Trips
Suggested ages 6 - 12 

Come on your own or with a group of friends! Get extra hands-on scien-terrific fun during an Arboretum visit.


Plant-Maker Stuido image  FREE Drop-in Activities
Drop-in to the Learning Center on Weekends between noon and 4 p.m.

"Make a plant" and "learn more" experiences for all ages. All-ages activities feature seasonal themes and fun take-home projects!

Cancellation Policy: Registration cancellations must be made two weeks prior to class date in order to receive refund. A $5 processing fee will apply.

for Ages 12-15
2017 Job Description 

Step One : Fill out an application and send it as an attachment to arbedu@umn.edu. One of our Children's Educators will then call you to set up an interview date/time.

Step Two: Successful applicants will be notified, pay fee,* and be able to select desired summer programs to assist.


Camps and Summer Childrens Garden require acknowledgement that parent/guardian has read and understands the Participant Agreement and Complete Waiver and Release Form.
