  • Children & Families

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum specializes in getting kids "up close and personal" with plants in a hands-on way.  Join in the fun and explore the magical world of flowers, leaves, roots and stems through summer day camps and the Children's Garden. Young ones can experience green fun with an adult through our preschool programs and free play outside in the Arboretum's Green Play Yard.  Families can explore a variety of nature topics together with free activities every weekend at the Marion Andrus Learning Center.

  • Special Events

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum offers special events year 'round to engage members and visitors in the splendor of the gardens and beauty of nature during all four seasons. Spring sees the return blooming flowers and plant sales. Summer brings outdoor adventures that awaken the senses. Autumn shows the bounty of apples and pumpkins with whimsical scarecrows nestled in the fallen leaves. Winter creates a snow-capped landscape viewable from the warmth of the buildings that display magical holiday decorations.

  • School Programs

Tens of thousands of children participate in the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum's hands-on, science-based learning programs each year. Highly organized and packed with activity, Arboretum field trips utilize the gardens, greenhouses and research plots to address science standards in every season. Teachers can also bring the Arboretum to their classroom through the Plantmobile. Or create your own learning habitat for your students to explore.
