The Stephen F. Keating Terrace is directly to the right of the Oswald Visitor Center entrance doors and is a shady resting place for visitors. This often quiet and intimate terrace features a display of sun-loving perennials enclosed by a formal hedge of lilac shrubs and a peaceful shade garden. The compacted, crushed trap rock patio area is surrounded by ginkgo trees (Ginkgo biloba) that will provide ample shade when they mature. Pots of annuals in vivid hues provide color against the backdrop of the trees and benches.
